Providing Quality Service Since 1986
Phil Groves started working for the family business in 1976 and spent the following 10 years becoming the senior sewer tech. He was doing anything from cleaning sewers, to pipe replacement, to investigating problem and solving, excavation, locating sewers, broken water mains, etc.
In 1986, Phil and his wife Darlene co-founded “Phil Groves Sewer Services Inc.”. With Phil out on “the tools,” handling service calls, Darlene used her invaluable organizational skills to ensure everything in the office ran smoothly. When the business was started Phil used the typical tools of the time, which included sewer machines and hand rods. We have progressed to TV cameras, locators, and modern tools and equipment.
We hired our first employee in 1988, and, soon after, Ted Hologroski was hired as our second employee. Ted is still with us to this day, acting as our Field Services Manager. The company remains to be owned and operated by Phil and Darlene.
We have grown our services and expertise over the years and are equipped to handle all your needs – no matter how big.
Clogged sewers and pipe cleanouts is our specialty. We service the Greater Hamilton and Halton areas.
We provide backflow prevention, including wells and pumps for flooded or leaking basements. We service the following areas: Hamilton, Burlington, Oakville, St. Catharines, Kitchener, Guelph, Brantford, Milton, and Niagara.
We also have a strong belief in giving back to the community we serve. Whether it’s taking part in the Flamborough Santa Claus Parade or helping raise money for the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice at the Winona Peach Festival, we strive to help create positive change by giving back to a community that has given us so much.
