Septic bed cleaning
Sludge build up in the pipes of a septic bed reduce the capacity of the water it can handle. The pipes of a septic system serve two functions in the bed. One function is the delivery of water to all parts of the septic bed to dissipate the wastewater and the other function is to act as a reservoir during use of the system. The pipes in the bed build up with suspended particles that build up over years of use. Removal of this sludge by the use of a high-pressure sewer flusher and vacuum truck helps to increase the ability of the septic system to work properly again. This may have to be followed up with the use of the Terra Lift as in the next heading.

Terralift provides a fast solution to many ground water problems. Terralift uses a long, narrow probe and an integral pneumatic hammer to penetrate the soil to depths of from 3 to 6 feet.
It then forces air into the soil at a controllable rate, fracturing the soil, and creating an aerobic condition.
At the same time, polystyrene pellets are injected into the newly aerated soil, thus maintaining the passages for the percolation of liquid away from the problem area.
Because air tends to follow the path of least resistance, both the air and the pellets will move horizontally and vertically through the soil. The pellets will keep the air and water passages open to ensure proper transpiration on a long term basis.
