Sewer Lining

Sewer lining is a trenchless repair method that restores a damaged pipe by installing a durable liner inside the existing sewer line.

Signs you may be a good candidate for sewer lining

  • Cracked or deteriorating pipe found during TV inspection
  • Root intrusion that keeps returning
  • Pipe joints separating or leaking
  • Recurrent sewer smells with no obvious interior plumbing cause
  • You want to avoid full excavation where possible

Why homeowners choose sewer lining

  • Less disruption to landscaping and driveways (compared to digging)
  • Creates a sealed, smooth interior pipe surface
  • Reduces future root intrusion risk

How we approach sewer lining (inspection-first)

  1. We start with a TV inspection to determine:
    • whether lining is possible (the pipe must be structurally “lineable”)
    • the exact length and location of the damage
  2. If appropriate, we clean the line thoroughly (often high pressure flushing).
  3. We install the liner and confirm placement and results.

Seasonal note

In Hamilton/GTA clay-heavy areas, shifting ground can crack older pipes — lining is often a great option if the pipe isn’t fully collapsed.
